New Betfair CEO
Breon Corcoran is the former Chief Officer of Operations for the Paddy Power
online casino gambling group. But, based on recent reports in the Irish Times,
Breon Corcoran has transferred from one company to the other, and the move is
pretty scandalous. Reports indicate he has moved to Betfair as their new CEO,
which is one of Paddy Power top competitors. David Yu, the current CEO of
Betfair, has already broadcasted his termination of office last June after being
in control for six years and being with the company for 10 years total. Online
casinos must watch out for Betfair's new CEO since he is one of the best
executives Paddy Power has had leading the helm; there is no telling what he is
hiding under his sleeves for Betfair.
In 2000, Betfair became an competitive online casino in the market, and the
company has done its best to become the biggest internet gaming firm in Europe,
offering internet betting services to the United Kingdom and the world. From
2010 and up to the third quarter of this year, Betfair has seen a steady decline
in their finances. Their shares as of November are 769.5 pence compared to their
previous number last October 2010 of £13.00. Breon Corcoran has been with Paddy
Power since 2001 and has become the head of a department, which helped the
company establish itself into the world wide web and into Australia's
jurisdiction, highly competing with other online casinos.
Although it has not been officially announced, for Breon Corcoran, the challenge
at hand is great, knowing that Betfair has acquired licenses from different
jurisdictions. Nonetheless, in the world of online casinos, it's only a matter
of time that one gets to be better than the other.
