GBT To Acquire FTP
Subject Poker, an information site for online casino and poker, reported that
Group Bernard Tapie (GBT) is in the process of acquiring Full Tilt Poker (FTP),
and is within the agreement with the United States Department of Justice.
However, the agreement is still to be approved by the shareholders at the
internet poker company. If everything goes according to plan, the embattled
players at Full Tilt Poker’s online casinos will be receiving the refunds in
their accounts from the gambling site.
Recently published information includes an email, which is said to be coming
from Ray Bitar, the chief executive of the online casino poker site, Full Tilt
Poker. The email announced the agreement by GBT and the Department of Justice
concerning the procurement of Full Tilt Poker by GBT; the email was confirmed by
many independent sources as well. According to Bitar, the US players will be
paid by the Department of Justice after GBT assumes the responsibilities of FTP
in paying the ROW players. As to a time frame of the reimbursement and the
procedures that govern the settlement of funds of the players of one of the
online casinos indicted early this year, it is still to be discussed.
After all the details are finalized by the Attorney’s Office from New York’s
Southern District and Groupe Bernard Tapie, GBT will sit down with the
stakeholders of Full Tilt Poker and offer a deal for the acquisition of the
online casino poker site. In order for GBT to take over, they must be able to
receive two-thirds of the number of votes. As for the Department of Justice, no
comments were made yet. |
