Uber Conservatives Losing Online Casino Battle

The social conservatives are losing the battle to block and ban offshore online casinos, although it still might take months before passage, most analysts agree that there is sufficient force behind pro-regulated gambling movements to pass new legislation through Congress. The hardcore social conservatives have become alarmed at the libertarian streak running through the Conservative party right now and long-time members and politicians just might use online gambling as a cornerstone issue as an attempt to pull the libertarians back into alignment with core conservative principles.

The entire situation though is playing out during a time that the online casinos have gained incredible strength in the support. The Democrats now claim bi-partisan support on their proposals aimed at allowing a full US gambling industry through regulation and licensing, a fact that sticks in the craw of cultural conservatives.
