Open Sourced Platfroming
Open source software is one of those forms of products and services that is
gaining a lot of exposure these days because of the push toward more
internationally compatible and unexclusive services. Mac leads the pack in
exclusivity of products and open sourcing is at the other side of the spectrum.
And even within the online casino gambling industry open sourced software is,
apparently, available to an extent. Betfair is one of the top gambling and
betting groups in the world, and the group just recently announced that Betfair
plans to employ ForgeRock for an open-sourced management solution to the
gambling group’s online casinos and betting sites.
ForgeRock has proven itself as the preeminent open source software application
for the online casinos and other internet based sites. ForgeRock is particularly
receiving accolades these days for the company’s Forge Rock I3 Open Platform
Project. I3 is a revolutionary new software platform that will really have a
strong impact on the integration and interaction side of management that online
casino groups face in this current market.
A key part of the open source experience is the fact that the code that it takes
to run the platform exists as a part of the community and not as a proprietary
part of any company or online casino gambling group. Companies are able to use
the software application platform, adjust as needed and thoroughly benefit from
the community knowledge-base where site management is concerned. Betfair is one
of the first internet gambling groups to work with this new software platform,
but certainly not the last. |
