Murder for Entrepreneur of Online Casinos
The online casino gambling industry received quite a shock this month with the
arrest of Mark Campbell for the murder of his wife. Campbell, 53, has developed
some huge brands and companies that are a cornerstone of the land and internet
gambling market. Recent issues within his online casino businesses though
indicate that there was some stress as Campbell developed a project in Spain
with his wife. The case has captivated the market as it is very clear that
Campbell did murder his wife but claims that he was provoked and pled not-guilty
to the murder charges that he is facing.
Campbell is the founder of three major projects in the land and online casino
gambling markets, Gem Lifesytle, Gextech, and the in-development Grand Scala
project in Spain. Campbell was soon after his wife was found dead in their home
last October and was immediately charged with murdering his wife, Olga
Pleguezuelos, 35. The London police found evidence that Campbell realized that
his wife was cheating on him just hours before he murdered her – he intercepted
a text message that indicated that his wife had intimate relations with a man.
The case is now in trial this month and the online casino giant is expected to
face a prison term for the murder, despite any and all of the claims from his
defense that he was provoked into the murder. The trial should last about two
weeks – there is no clear indication what will happen to the Gran Scala project
that was in development in Spain when the murder occurred. |
