Where Could the Money Go
The US politicians are in debate mode when it comes to the two US bills that are
up for discussion in Congress right now. The House Ways and Means Committee is
taking presentations from both sides of the online casino gambling debate and
pondering which course is the better decision for America. For pro-internet
gambling supporters the choice is absolutely clear and there is no doubting that
the US government needs to step in rapidly and create a full system of
regulations for the US market that cover licensing and taxation within the
market. But the other side does have some points and arguments that have slowed
down the bill’s progress lately. And as these pro online casino gambling bills
continue to sit in Congress, the US is losing the ability to currently create
jobs and generate millions in tax revenues.
The US has not yet come out of the recession and there is still a very high
unemployment rate throughout the country. The pro-online casino gambling
politicians contend that legalizing internet gambling is the perfect way to
stimulate more than 30,000 jobs in the country. That is just a direct benefit of
the legalization and regulation, then there is the option of the taxation income
from the online casinos. The number is staggeringly high and those funds are
desperately needed right now to fund failing programs that simply do not have
funding. Such as teacher wages. Or perhaps the new healthcare program.
The online casino gambling industry is going to exist in the US regardless of
whether or not the government passes these new regulations, it’s just a matter
of whether or not the government is going to protect US gamblers and also fun
new programs while creating a safer internet gambling market. There are endless
numbers of worthwhile US programs in need of funding and they are merely
awaiting Congressional approval of new gambling legislation. |
