Where's Canada Fall?
The Canadian online casino gambling industry is one of those topics that the
industry media has buzzed about for several months now but not said a whole lot.
The fact of the matter is this – the potential for licensing and magnetizing the
Canadian internet gambling market is huge, but it is also going to take a lot of
work. Several Canadian provinces have announced new studies being conducted and
new efforts to assess and consider the impact that legalized online casinos
could have on this enormous market. Canada is one of those markets that the
gambling companies have already conquered, but that still operates fully without
any sort of control or authority.
Like the online casino gambling markets within any country, the money for Canada
would come from fully regulating the gambling sites and the market as a whole.
Since the Canadian government has point blank refused to even consider passing
new and wide spread regulations concerning this rampant industry, it has now
fallen to British Columbia, Manitoba, and other regions to fully take the issue
into the government and decide the best course of action.
The Canadian provinces have a lot to think about, not the least of which is the
research that indicates just how much money a safe and legalized online casino
gambling market will bring into the state budgets. Internet gambling is already
widespread throughout Canada and it seems as though there issue is really not
about whether or not Canadian’s should gamble online (they’re already doing it),
but rather how best to legalize and regulate the industry for the better safety
of the gamblers themselves. |
