The Le Monde partnership will allow the online casino betting company a way to brand itself upon entry into the French market while also ensuring compliance with all of the complicated new French regulations. The two companies have solidified a two year partnership to offer the co-branded product in the marketplace. Le Monde is one of the major newspapers operating in France and the addition of an online casino and betting site will surely allow the paper the opportunity to more easily stay afloat.

The partnered site will offer sportsbetting in two stages – the first offerings on the site will be free money betting, this form of betting will take effect on April 1, 2010. The sites have to start with free money betting and online casino gambling because the new French regulations have not yet fully taken effect. There is a tentative date scheduled on June 1, 2010 for the new regulations to become law, then Le Monde and Sportingbet will go live with a real money version of the site.
