Competition Good for the Online Casinos

The search engine game is changing early in the year now and there is a hope that the new developments at the major search engines will have a positive effect on the online casino gambling industry and the advertising efforts of sites within the industry. Yahoo and Bing just announced perhaps the biggest development in the search engine industry since the launch of Bing itself. Microsoft’s Bing is a fairly new player in the search engine game, but the site caught on quickly and has been rapidly developing a growing share of the search market. In a most interesting development, Bing and Yahoo are partnering up and Bing will now power Yahoo’s search features on the site. What this means for online casinos is increased accuracy in the search engine and perhaps a bit more competitive pricing.

The online casinos advertising through the internet in the UK are primarily stuck with Google. Now, to be fair, that is not a bad place to be stuck. Google has a massive 65 percent share of the global search market and the online casino sites looking to increase their search presence are able to buy advertising spots and otherwise make great use of the many varying Google advertising features. The new developments though with the Yahoo Bing partnership will give this joint venture a whopping 30 percent share of search market and the ability to jointly take on Google and cause some more competitive pricing and competition in the marketplace.

The online casino gambling industry has really only just begun reintroduction in the UK to the search engines in terms of advertising efforts, but once Google announced that it would once again allow advertising efforts within the internet gambling industry, UK and European companies have begun the search engine wars of sorts.
