The reaction all over the US has been incredibly mixed – and some of the comments have been quite contrary to what you would expect! The religious right in the US feels that giving porn sites their own domain name is a way to legitimatize the industry – and industry that should not be legal and allowed. There is a fear within the online casino gambling industry that grouping all of the sites on one domain name would then more easily allow stigmatization and unnecessary blocks. But the online casinos enthused about the possibility feel that this would be a way for US internet gambling sites to comply with US legislators and clearly and specifically classify themselves as gambling sites.

The transparency side of the separate domain name is specifically appealing to a lot of online casinos because it could be a swaying point for support. With all internet gambling sites occupying the same .gam domain name the government could ensure that these types of sites are specifically banned in certain situations (schools for example and even work computers).
