Aussies Bet Hard and High
The online casinos are tallying up their success over the past month as the
World Cup bets start to dwindle and even the most die-hard fanatics of the games
are switching their focus to the next potential match. The Australian land and
online casino betting market has surprised even the bookies in their own country
who noted that the bets were of a much higher volume than any could have
anticipated. The online casinos are illegal in Australia right now and internet
betting is met with some severe reservations – the Aussies are intended to
solely seek out their favorite land betting venue and place bets on the games
from that location.
Despite the restrictions that are in place in Australia the Aussie statistics
indicate that as many as one fourth of all of the Aussie World Cup bets took
place via the internet. Australia’s current Prime Minister is not pleased with
the internet gambling industry and plans to kibosh all of the access to illegal
online casinos and betting sites in the coming year – which means the 2014 games
could look a whole lot different as more gamblers are forced to leave their
homes and big screen televisions to place bets and find out the odds on the
games.
This is just an unlikely trend and there is speculation that the Aussies are
going to find a way to access the online casino bets and then send their money
offshore to the foreign listed companies. Like so many countries that prefer
bans and blocks, the Aussie government is going to lose control of the market.
The stats indicate that gamblers are eager to use the internet and mobile
betting sites on a larger level. |
