The GREaT Foundation is a research group that aims at specifically researching the education and effective treatments for problem gambling. This foundation is supported only on the donations from the online casinos themselves, the media, and legal organizations related to the industry. The foundation is doing valuable work in the market right now in regards to educating through the internet – which is the new frontier of gambling.

The GREaT Foundation already reached its goal of raising a whopping Euro 5.5 million in funding and thanks all of the online casinos and gambling related companies that donated the needed funds so that the Foundation can continue to operate successfully. The Director at GREaT, Geoffrey Godbold, actually called out the online casino companies that failed to donate any funding and noted that this is such a valuable endeavor that is needed within the market and also a part of the responsible gambling requirements that so many governments now require.

Online casinos that did not help fund the Foundation in the past year can actually take the responsible measures needed and donate funds this year. All of the money raised through the GREaT Foundation is used to directly help learn more about the problem gambling issues in the market, treat and educate. For this reason GREaT is asking that all companies related in any way to the industry donate funds to help GREaT raise the new goal of $6 million in funds over the next two years.
