Performance at Expectations
The first half of the 2010 calendar year has really soared above expectations
for some gambling groups in the market right now and performance reports are
just starting to roll in for the online casino gambling groups. The GVC Holdings
gambling group reported that the first two quarters of the year have yielded
strong returns and most of the company’s signature brands were right in line and
even above projections from the beginning of the year. The GVC gambling group
has success with the CasinoClub brand, Betaland, and Betaboo among other sites
in the market. Really the only negative part of the report indicated that while
online casino and sportsbook operations were up in two of the sites, the Betaboo
site suffered a small trading loss throughout the first half of 2010.
GVC actually serves nearly every major sector of the internet gambling industry
with interests and products for online casino gambling, bingo play, poker,
betting, and several other niche forms of gambling. Separating itself from the
rest of the many gambling sites out on the market right now, GVC targets the
Latin American and Brazilian gambling markets in particular. Global predictions
from the analysts indicate that the popularity of online casinos in this Latin
and South American markets should see some very strong growth over the next
decade, and unlike all of the exclusively European facing brands, GVC is primed
and ready to grow alongside the increasing interest and legalization of gambling
in these regions.
The specific growth indicates that net gaming revenues for the online casino
gambling group are up a significant eight percent on the previous year.
Additionally, although GVC’s products are mostly aimed at the Latin markets, now
that the company has a strong base GVC announced that a European facing
sportsbook will launch later this year. |
