Take Taxes and Choose Regulation

Just one year after the Russian government announced a ban on land based gambling the country’s gambling industry is in shambles and there are high levels of corruption related to the gambling industry that were never prominent before the bans on inter-city land gambling. The Russian government made the bold choice to push land gambling out of the Russian cities and into remote regions of the country. Those actions have been effective at making the major companies close their doors but in their place are cropping up a whole slew of less scrupulous operations taking advantage of the wild west in land and online casino gambling that has been created by the current Russian regulations.

The online casinos, land gambling groups and eve player interest groups are calling on the Russian government to make the needed changes to the regulations that would re-embrace forms of land gambling but instead of allowing a free-for-all create policies that tax the gambling revenues and license those legal sites to operate within the city. Russia has not fared better than any other country in the world during the global recession and the Russian budget cold certainly use the boost in revenues that taxation would bring.

Additionally, although the online casinos are technically illegal in the market the public is asking for a total revamping of the previous policies that would include both the land and internet gambling industry and then take away the need and call for underground and corrupt organizations and instead replace it with a full above-board and government controlled market.
