Widgety Goodness for Online Casinos: 2
NetPlayTV primarily pioneered television based gambling efforts for the online
casino gambling industry and Betfair, seeing the positive response, is also
looking to jump in at the early stages as the industry grows, evolves, and
ultimately expands to new demographics. Televisions really have the ability to
once again change the gambling market in a similar way that the internet did
with gambling and the online casinos. Although not to the same extent,
television gambling is a brand new medium that has really started to generate
its own buzz in the industry. With the assistance of Yahoo!, the online casino
betting group is looking to carve out a whole new market that never previously
existed.
For Betfair, this new TV widget is launched through Yahoo’s international
distribution channels and will be available on an international level. That’s
pretty unheard of at this point, but the gambling groups feels that this move
into the television market is an important and needed connection with its
primary demographic of sporting enthusiasts. That’s the whole of it really, for
gambling and exchange betting companies their primary users are avid television
enthusiasts because that’s where the sporting events play. The online casinos
have a completely different market, and while still viable for television
gambling connections, it’s not quite as well suited as betting and the
television medium.
The CEO of this new division, Simon Miller, is really enthused about the new
connections that this market will allow between land betting, online casinos and
betting, and sporting events – the platform is completely unique and the
potential viability is undeniable. |
