Moving on from Ladbrokes
The current CEO of Ladbrokes, Christopher Bell, recently announced the decision
to move on from the successful UK online casino gambling and betting group.
Ladbrokes is one of the top gambling companies in the market and has a broad
range of products that suite a number of strong sectors within the market. Bell
has been with the company for quite some time, and has led the Ladbrokes into
its currently successful and profitable position at the top of the UK gambling
industry. Online casinos are incredibly competitive in the UK market, and Bell’s
growth strategy has kept Ladbrokes profitable through the past economic
recession and the failing global economy – but according to shareholders and
critics, Bell has not kept the company with enough of a profit margin to remain
in the job.
Several critics within the online casino gambling group have particularly
lambasted Bell’s performance with the internet gaming divisions. Ladbrokes has a
long-standing reputation for excellence in the land and internet betting
markets, and these divisions are still performing up to par. Ladbrokes investors
though have high hopes that some new blood infused into the online casino
gambling group will yield better results for the online divisions. Bell has had
the longest run of any CEO at Ladbrokes in the past, but his performance over
the past 12 months has been hotly criticized.
Although Ladbrokes is still profitable and competitive with other online
casinos, Bell’s replacement will likely come as a relief to all parties
involved. Bell has been under fire for a long time now and stepping down as CEO
will provide him the chance to look into new sectors of the gambling market and
use his extensive knowledge elsewhere. |
