No Regard for Aussie Policies
The Australian government has made some incredibly bold moves to block the
online casino gambling industry in the country over the past several months and
many of the foreign internet gambling companies have not taken kindly to this
action. In fact, many foreign gambling companies have outright ignored the new
Aussie gaming laws and are still either waiting for the blocks and bans to take
place, or are already working on the technology needed to circumvent the planned
Australian censors and filters that will attempt to fully block the online
casinos from accessing Aussie citizens. Party Poker in particular is in outright
defiance of Aussie internet gambling laws despite the hefty fines that will be
placed against any internet gambling sites that currently operate in the market.
In fact, you’d think that the Aussie government hadn’t done their international
research to see that online casino blocks and bans are rarely effective and the
gaming sites nearly always find a way around the restrictions. The US market is
a prime example of a powerful nation that has no ability to fully create a block
against the gambling industry and has instead created a bit of a black market
for gambling.
Party Poker though is in outright defiance and the government is at a loss of
how to proceed – they really didn’t seem to expect any of the major online
casinos to actually defy the now clear-cut laws and continue offering games to
the market. The Australian internet gambling law has never really been enforced
until now, just as the Australian officials attempt some sort of internet
censorship laws to officially and formally block the sites. |
