Online Casino Hearings Held
The California State budget isn’t incredibly healthy right now, and although
some are prone to blaming the budget deficit on Governor Schwarzenegger, really
it’s a far larger issue and one that is going to need more than blame and
pointing fingers to solve. One of the key solutions right now though is actually
the online casino poker gambling industry. Internet gambling at the federal
level is banned, but California is among a handful of states that are currently
close to passing legislation for an intra-state gambling industry. The
California State Governmental Organization Committee supports the efforts to
legalize online casino poker gambling in the state because of the sheer volume
of gambling revenues that intrastate internet gambling would bring in.
A recent informational hearing has gone quite well and there are rumors that
California will soon pass the legislation that allows the state to create a full
online casino poker gambling industry able to operate throughout the state of
California. The issue has been up for consideration for a while now and has been
thoroughly researched and analyzed to best predict the possible amount of money
that online casinos and poker sites could generate for the state coffers – and
the results have been incredibly positive.
Basically, online casino gambling is incredibly lucrative and when it is
controlled and offered within the state lines it is both safe and legal. The
rough estimates conclude that the state can anticipate roughly $900 million
annually in revenue generate just by taking a cut of the profits (via taxes) of
any and all of the gaming companies that will operate within the state. |
