You Can't Do That
The Polish online casino gambling industry is not well established – in fact,
it’s not established at all and it’s a bit of a free for all right now. To that
extent though, there are still some restrictions in the in Polish market while
the government figures out the precise gambling regulations that will operate
over the long haul. The newest issue though comes out of advertising within the
country –it’s now allowed right now and a Polish Ski Company is in deep water
now with the government because of advertising efforts that the company did for
the online casino gambling industry to Polish citizens.
Bet-at-Home worked with the Tatra Skiing Association to launch an online casino
advertising campaign specifically for the Polish market. The Polish government
though has very recently attempted to implement some strong restrictions against
all foreign online casinos and internet gambling companies attempting to target
Polish gamblers. Bet-at-Home though is fighting with the Ski association against
unfair Polish restrictions.
Both of these companies argue that the Polish government does not have right to
block foreign online casinos because of EU policies regarding free trade. Poland
though is likely following in the footsteps of other countries that have
blatantly ignored the facet of EU regulations calling for an open internet
gambling market for all EU member-states. Poland has just entered the EU
recently and there was a big hope in the gambling market that the Eastern
European market would be more receptive to a full and open international market.
