Players Want New Slots
Many slot players at online casinos have already noticed that some slot
game-developers seem to be falling in innovating games recently. The collective
observance, which is mostly talked about in message boards and online forums, is
that new slot games are essentially repetitions of older ones. This means that
nothing much changed in a “new” slot except for a major decoration overhaul or
newer graphic designs. C.M. Jones noticed this too, and wrote about it in an
article that appeared and was talked about through the online casino industry.
Jones mainly articulated and problematised this current trend among developers
and noted that newer online casino slot games are just like the older slot
games, just with newer coating.
In her article, “Are Online Slots Developers Becoming Lazy”, Jones really
highlights that software and slot game-developers seem to take the discerning
capacities of online casino players for granted. However, players are both
discerning and well-informed; the players at various online casinos worldwide
are asking the industry for more innovations to keep them entertained. She also
claims that the laziness of developers is readily apparent when you look at the
developers efforts of simply changing graphics and designs when they announced
that a “new” slot has been launched. Furthermore, it appears to Jones that
developers are in a mindset that players’ enticement toward playing a new slot
game is merely based on improved decorations and aesthetics—which is not the
case, as is most evident through the recent criticisms expressed in industry
message boards.
Jones ends on a serious note for all software developers, saying that these
developers should bear in mind that players are an intelligent crowd and these
companies must finally listen to what a plethora of online casino players say;
especially because if tides don’t turn, the clamor for innovation and scrutiny
will likely reach a much louder and massive scale that has never yet been seen
in the market.
