It's All Hollywood
The dramatic escapades in the Hollywood hit film “Oceans Eleven” are just that –
the imaginations of a great screenplay writer, a suspenseful score and some
great acting from the score of talented names in the first movie. But take the
Ocean’s theme and transfer it into real life and those shenanigans of robbing a
major casino are a whole lot harder to pull off when you’re not operating in a
fictional environment. A 25 year-old would be casino robber is heating up the
online news forums as the police in Melbourne, Australia have nicknamed him
Oceans One.
Major online news outlets all over the world are carrying the story of this sad
robber who entered the casino late at night, then entered a crawl shaft in the
stairwell. That is where his adventure of robbing the venue ended though because
after crawling for just 30 meters the would-be robber fell through a vertical
part of the ventilation system until he became wedged in the ceiling face first.
He spent 10 hours calling for help and propped head down into the vents before
his pleas for help were heard by workers in the casinos café grill.
The police were immediately called to the scene and Oceans One saw an abrupt end
to his glorious plans to rob the casino. More information available through
online news sources keeping up with the police reports about the charges this
young and naïve robber are facing – counts of trespassing and criminal damage
are tops on the list of charges. |
