Canadian Provinces Begin
The British Columbian government made a huge mess of the recent online casino
gambling site launch that melted down into a puddle of confusion and created a
huge potential fiasco as the BC officials attempt to figure out precisely what
happened to cause the fault. The BC debacle though has painted a clear picture
for the rest of the Canadian provincial government that running online casinos
is not the cake-walk that it seems. Several new Canadian provinces have
announced that they are on the cusp of launching their own internet gambling
sites for the market but they are all taking an extra step and delaying the
launches to better ensure that all of the safety precautions and encryption data
is there in place before the sites launch.
The Canadian online caisno gambling industry is worth millions annually and the
provincial governments are all concerned that they are losing out on all of this
potential revenue to offshore gaming companies. Ontario’s lottery company, which
will be running the internet gambling sites in the province, has had its fair
share of scandals this past year but the Ontarian officials feel that the timing
is right to begin prepping for the launch of a taxed state run online casino.
Also prepping for entry into the internet gambling industry and ready to give
the offshore online casinos a run for their money are the Quebec and Atlantic
provinces. These two provinces have also previously discussed the launch of a
taxed internet gambling industry and the final preparations are being laid out
on these sites before legalized gambling will launch widely across Canada
through the provincial governments. |
