Poker Challenge Back in Action
The major poker challenge that has captivated the attention of the land and
online casino poker gambling players has once again resumed after a hiatus in
the action while the two players in the competition not only took a break from
each other, but also spent the bulk of their time competing in the World Series
of Poker. The WSOP took place over the summer and featured the hottest names in
the industry – as well as some incredibly skilled no-names from the online
casinos that came out to compete for a spot at the final table event that will
take place this November. With the conclusion of the WSOP Patrik Antonius will
once again play his best game against poker pro Tom Dwan.
Dwan issued the poker challenge more than a year ago to any online casino poker
player who thought that he could win against Dwan over 50,000 hands of poker.
The prize is a cool million dollars but Dwan’s proposition is pretty tough
considering Dwan’s skill set and his confidence that he can beat any poker
player across such a large spread of hands. The idea behind the online casino
poker competition is that true poker skill can only be seen when the element of
luck is taken out of the equation – by offering the million dollar prize over
50,000 hands each player has the chance to study and learn their opponent and
play their poker hands accordingly.
The 50,000 hands is no chump change though and this most recent online casino
poker episode shot through 280 hands and Antonius winning the weekend session.
But that win is short lived in consideration of Dwan is up $1.6 million and the
two have already played 39,254 hands of the 50,000 total hands of poker to be
played in the $1 million competition. |
