Really Considering Online Casino Options
New stats out of the United States indicate that the US state budgets really are
becoming increasingly strapped for cash, as is evidenced by the fact that more
and more states are considering the legalization and expansion of not only land
gambling within the state, but also the online casinos. Over the past several
years an increasingly large number o US states have begun to add land gambling
venues and slots, in addition to wider spread betting options and a variety of
forms of gambling. All of these new forms of gambling are expanded within states
that are strapped for cash – the same reason why at least 25 of the US states
are now considering the potential of online casino gambling as a way to better
flesh out the budget.
The time when Atlantic City and Las Vegas held all of the gambling in the US is
long over – now more than a dozen US states have legalized forms of land
gambling (casinos and slot machines) as a way to tax the industry and bring in
some revenue. Just in the past year though, once the recession has begun to
lift, cash-strapped US states are still facing large budget deficits – that’s
where the online casinos come into play. Although federal regulations ban
transactions with offshore online gambling sites, the internet gambling industry
in the US is increasingly viable and the interest of key private equity firms in
the country is a big indication.
Essentially, because of the federal regulations, investment companies are more
interested in building an infrastructure that would be much more lucrative in
the future, should the online casinos become not only legal for intrastate
gambling, but on an international and national scale as well. |
