Playscan's New Owner
A new responsible gaming tool for the online casino gambling industry has been
snatched up this month by the Swedish gaming monopoly, Svenska Spel. Sweden has
been controversially operating a state monopoly on land and internet gambling
for years now despite requests from the European Commission to disband the
monopoly and pass more inclusive regulations. Safety within the online casinos
has long been the country’s justification for operating a state monopoly, and
that claim is only solidified as the gambling group announced the purchase of
Playscan AB, a responsible gaming product using new technologies within the
market.
Playscan is a subsidiary of ICU Intelligence and the company and the gambling
tool will be further developed by Svenska Spel for full release in the global
online casino gambling market. The two companies signed a contract for sale of
all shares and assets related to Playscan, and all of the technologies and
patents as well. Responsible gaming is one of the huge buzz words and concepts
in the global gambling industry right now and other online casinos and gambling
groups will surely be keen on licensing this software if it proves useful in
enabling companies to safeguard their customers, transactions, and businesses.
The details of the Playscan tool is really in that it enables online casino
gamblers and players to better monitor their behavior and thus curb problem
gambling behaviors. Beyond just noting and recording the behavior, the tool is
also designed to offer targeted solutions to the problems so that gamblers can
better adjust their gambling habits. |
