Goodbye to France
Cake Poker is one of the first of the online casino gambling groups in the world
to begin adhering to the new French gambling regulations that have taken hold in
the country. France has been in the process of passing some new regulations
related to internet gambling and the online casinos, but those regulations have
been a long time coming and in the mean time, the French officials have asked
that the gambling sites willingly step out of the French market until the new
licensing regime can be put into full effect. The Cake Poker Network is one of
the top ten largest poker networks in the world and has partnerships and
relationships with nearly all of the top poker gaming sites; the company
announced that its network has already dropped all French based players from
game play and this applies to any site operating on the Cake Network for poker.
The Cake Poker Network regretted to make this decision, but announced that the
online casino poker gambling group fully intends to re-accept French poker
players once the network has received a full license to legally operate in the
French market. This move is very sudden considering the regulations in France
have not yet changed, but French based operators have been causing a media storm
as they push for punishments and fines for the online casinos and poker sites
that are currently operating without a French license.
Some of the top online poker sites that are also effected include Sportsbook.com,
Doyles Room, and several others; Cake Poker has 35 total partners on the
network, all of which are also effected by the Network’s decision to back out of
the French poker network for now. |
