New Anti Online Casinos Focus
The Australian gambling market is simply cannot seem to stay out of the news
this week and that’s largely because of one of Australia’s most outspoken
anti-online casino gambling politicians. Senator Nick Xenophon has taken on
Australia's gambling industry efforts as a personal pet project, Australia has
launched a series of controversial bills and steps that would ban and block
internet gambling severely within the country. Xenophon’s working to stop plans
to censor internet content in the state that have been met with extreme
controversy all over the world, and as that debate continues to rage on Xenophon
announced a new plan – to also eradicate free gambling applications for mobile
devices that alleged simulate the online casinos and target young kids.
Xenophon notes that current claim assert that the free mobile gambling apps that
are easily downloadable for the iPhone are dangerous for underage youth and
could lead to some serious gambling problems later in life. These apps allow any
mobile phone user to download and install the game, then free-play gamble at
online casinos and slots games. Xenophon feels that these games are being
distributed irresponsibly and are making it into the hands of children. The only
true part of his statement is that children are able to easily gamble using the
internet gambling apps.
But then there’s controversy as to the best solution for overcoming this
problem. Naturally, Xenophon feels that banning the online casino gambling apps
is not the best solution – the adults that love these products, however, have a
bit of something to say about that. Xenophon seems prone to exaggeration and has
gone so far as to call these gambling training applications for children. |
