The race for US Senator has really thrust the online casino gambling issue back into the spotlight because the person succeeding Kennedy as Senator will have a vote and a voice when the new bills come up for discussion and voting. Some of the candidates are clearly bad choices for supporters of the internet gambling industry. The Massachusetts Attorney General, Martha Coakley, is entering the race for Senator and she is actually strongly against the online casinos to the point that she is even enforcing legislation in her state that doesn’t even exist.

Coakley is a strong candidate and that is a bit worrisome for online casino gambling supporters. She has a lot to say against internet gambling and her voice on the floor of Congress would surely add to the anti-gambling debate. There are several candidates vying for the Senate seat though and others provide much more hope for the internet gambling industry.
