Taking a Page from the UK
The Argentinean online casino gambling industry is looking more and more
possible than ever before with reports coming out of California and from the
Argentinean government that the country is considering offering forms of
legalized gambling. The latest news centers on the announcement from Access
Corporation, operating out of Santa Monica, California, that this small internet
poker software development company has been contacted by the Argentinean
government about possible usage of the Poker Site Central software once
Argentina opens to foreign and domestic online casino gambling competition.
According to recent analysis of the ongoing developments in Argentina it looks
as though the government is leaning toward the creation of a regulated online
casino gambling environment similar to that in Antigua and the United Kingdom.
The UK has, perhaps, the best example of an effectively regulated gambling
industry in the world. That is not to say that there are not still kinks – the
UK online casinos are currently leaving the country because of excessively high
taxes, but the licensing and regulatory structure is thought to be top-notch in
creating an ideal and safe internet gambling environment for gamblers.
As the probability of an open online casino and poker gambling market in
Argentina could occur as early as two years from now many companies are already
beginning to prepare software aimed specifically at this market. Access
Corporation would have a very big job to fill in Argentina if it were one of a
handful of legal and licensed software development companies operating in the
region. |
