Courts Relenting

All of the detractors of the online casino gambling industry are obviously not paying close attention to the sites and companies that are very honest and are doing business with the utmost aim at safety for the gamblers. The US seizure of internet poker gambling funds has really shaken internet US gamblers because they have suddenly found that their account funds are gone and that the safety that they gambled under has now been seriously shaken by the US Department of Justice’s seizures. At the same time though, the online casinos have proven themselves by still covering all of the player funds in withdrawals despite the fact that the seized account funds total up to nearly $40 million.

Online casino gamblers are now leery of the US gambling industry – but really this recent episode only goes to show that the highly reputable internet poker gambling sites are still willing to live up to the promises they make to their gamblers. The US situation is quite serious – that cannot be denied. And there is also really no telling just what the US government plans to do from this point forward. There are still several key online casinos and internet poker sites operating in the US market and the DoJ is likely looking for the cracks in their payment processing system.

Although many of the online casinos and internet poker sites are operating with the players in mind and with a specific duty to payout despite account fund seizures, there may be many more situations like this one in the near future as the DoJ flexes its powers. The only way that these account seizures will end is with the passage of new federal legislation. Congress will be back in session soon and the internet gambling legislation is up for discussion.
