Busted for Online Casinos
The online casino gambling industry is illegal in the United States and there is
just no way around that very plain fact. Now, some gambling sites purposely have
chosen to continue operating in the US market despite the ban of offshore online
casinos, but these sites know precisely what they are getting themselves into
and that they are breaking the Federal level legislation against internet
gambling. Smaller internet cafes now are popping up in the US and they are also
breaking the law by offering interested gamblers a way to access the online
casinos and pay their funds. That is the hardest part for many gamblers, paying
the funds needed to support the account.
The US has targeted financial transactions as the way to stop the online casino
gambling industry in the states. It works only on a small level because many
gamblers have found ways to circumvent the restrictions even from their homes.
The internet cafes in question though are in a really risky position with their
borderline gambling operations. The online casinos still operating in the US
market have less liability because they are only accountable to the US
authorities if they get caught on US soil –but the sites can easily operate from
overseas. Internet cafes though are operating everything from slot parlors to
poker gambling machines…and all under the false assumption that they may be a
bit legal.
Local authorities all over the country are starting to bust the online cafes
operating illegal gambling. Although many of the operators claim that their form
of gambling is legal, that is not the case if you ask law enforcement and
because of this disagreement there has been a lot rash of arrests all across the
country. |
