Chinese Loving Online Casino Gaming
Online use in China is surging forward despite any of the actions of the
controlling Chinese government. Communist China is not a huge fan of the
internet because of the internet’s ability to spread uncontrolled information at
lightening speeds. China has some of the fastest growing internet usage rates in
the world and the Chinese are seeking out more education and research
opportunities through the internet as well as online casino gambling and gaming.
Because so much of the nation has begun to use the internet for seeking
information that the Chinese government has blocked, new technologies and
efforts are increasingly allowing the Chinese to reach individuals outside of
China.
One of the key emerging issues right now though lies in the Chinese government’s
efforts to stifle online freedom of speech; because so many efforts are being
made to prevent certain types of internet activity the government is not even
paying attention to the amount of time the Chinese are using the internet for
everything from the mentioned research to online casinos. More than 338 million
Chinese have access to the internet with the vast majority of those gamblers
using broadband internet access. Recently released statistics indicate that the
Chinese are spending on average about 18 hours a week online – and most alarming
is the fact that more than 80 percent of China’s internet users consider the
Internet as the most reliable source for information.
In a country that consistently pushes for moderation and control, it seems as
though China is ripe for some very real cases of internet addiction. The Chinese
are using the internet for internet shopping, research, communication, social
networking, gaming and online casino gambling. Although the last one is not
legal, China is quickly finding that many Chinese have effectively found ways to
gamble and game extensively through the internet. |
