Online use in China is surging forward despite any of the actions of the controlling Chinese government. In a country that consistently pushes for moderation and control, it seems as though China is ripe for some very real cases of internet addiction. The Chinese are using the internet for internet shopping, research, communication, social networking, gaming and online casino gambling. Although the last one is not legal, China is quickly finding that many Chinese have effectively found ways to gamble and game extensively through the internet.
