Fighting Back Against Online Casino Sites
France and South Africa have a lot in common right now when it comes to the
online casino gambling industry. Both countries are in a similar place, the
development of comprehensive gambling regulations that will create a safe and
controlled gambling industry with country-approved gaming licenses as the
gateway into the market. Additionally, both countries are in the final stages of
development of the regulations and are now facing the problem that some online
casinos are prematurely entering the market. South Africa has long noted that it
would not provide a gaming license to any internet gambling company that chose
to enter the South African market before the gambling regulations were approved
and implemented. France has now been forced to make the same announcement
because of just one or two companies that are prematurely targeting gambling
services toward French gamblers.
Controlling the online casinos in an unregulated market is extremely difficult
and this is why both France and South Africa have no choice but to threaten the
companies into good behavior. The internet is such an invasive medium that any
attempts to block financial transactions or block the IP addresses of the
gambling sites can all be easily circumvented. To that end, since both France
and South Africa do plan to license online casino gambling sites in the near
future, the best remedy is to put out a public notice to all of the gambling
companies that they will not receive future licensing.
Why will this work you might ask? Well, even though these offending online
casinos will presumably still have access to the French and South African online
casino gambling markets after the regulations take effect, there will be so much
advertising and market saturation from the legal companies that the illegally
operating ones will have a hard time remaining profitable in the marketplace. |
