Accusing Online Casinos
The “in” thing to do right now is attack the internet gambling industry in the
United States. The US federal government has made the internet gambling industry
a huge target for legal action and prosecution and although many analysts
thought that the controversy and focus on the industry would blow over months
ago, the fervor is only heating up. The US Department of Justice is really
leading the plight against the offshore online casinos by seeking out any
company that is operating in the US industry and finding a way to prosecute
those companies for violation of the UIGEA. Additionally, the Maryland Attorney
General is busy sniffing out payment processing companies that are enabling
gambling at the offshore online casinos and now some gamblers themselves are out
for blood against the gaming sites.
A player in California is leading a lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker – one of the
largest poker gambling sites in the world. Full Tilt is a full online casino
poker room that operates in the international market and offers a full range of
poker rooms that cater to the newbies and also offer up poker rooms for the
poker pros and high rollers. There’s a bit of something for everyone at the
online casino poker site…and apparently a bit too much of something if the
claims that Full Tilt is using poker bots proves true.
The California player in question has accused Full Tilt of not only using poker
bots to win hands against real online casino poker gamblers. But the player also
claims that Full Tilt unfairly accused other legitimate players of operating as
poker bots. The lawsuit is currently filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court and
not only attacks Full Tilt in the complaint, but names several key poker pros
directly associated with the Full Tilt brand. |
