Deal Highlights
Dragonfish and Second Life, a virtual world created by Linden Labs that has
international purchase, announced a deal earlier this month that will see 888
Holding’s Dragonfish payment processing division handling payments for this
innovative community. 888 Holdings is primarily involved in the international
online casino gambling industry but the Dragonfish had the opportunity to
develop this lucrative deal outside of internet gambling and chose to strike
while the iron was hot. This new deal with Second Life really provides
Dragonfish with a wide reach now, outside of the online casinos, and into
varying but lightly related markets. Dragonfish is pleased to launch out of the
existing core market and to offer its innovative payment solutions to a new
market of e-consumers.
One of the main factors behind Second Life’s decision to work with Dragonfish,
an arguably smaller payment processing company in the online casino gambling
industry is 888 Holdings consistent ability to innovatively expand its products
and services into new markets and with new technologies. Although Dragonfish
offers many of the traditional types of payment processing, the company is also
backed by the stellar 888 Holdings name and the company has spent several years
now establishing a solid reputation for excellence.
Dragonfish is taking a strong leap into the e-commerce and retail sides of the
payment processing market and the Second Life deal will allow the company to
develop a core following of users and services that can later be used for
markets outside of the online casinos, and even outside of Second Life. |
