Casinos Create Jobs in Canada
Canada is in a phase of rapid development right now as the country begins to
really open up its borders to both the land and online casino gambling industry.
Canada has been a fence sitter for a while now, and still is to an extent; the
Canadian government has yet to pass a formal ruling on the legality of online
casinos in the Canadian market. The situation with the Kahnawake Gaming
Commission has stalled some matters because the Canadian government has a very
murky understanding of power between the Kahnawake Indian reservation and the
Canadian laws. But as the government continues to sit on the fence about the
issue, land casinos are developing in the country and that means huge job
creation for Canadians.
In just a few short months the Casino New Brunswick has plans to open in Moncton
– and the real kicker is that this huge land gambling complex is opening the
door for at least 500 jobs in the area. Canada was not exempt from the global
recession that affected citizens all over the world, many Canadians have
struggled in the past several months and searched out the scarce jobs. That’s
why a land gambling venue with that many new employees is extremely big news for
the country. And perhaps even more encouraging is the plan within many provinces
to begin allowing online casinos to operate.
Although the online casino gambling sites do not often offer as many local jobs
as land gambling venues, the internet gambling sites do infuse the state budget
with a healthy dose of tax revenue that can then go into social programs for the
people. |
