No More Internet Betting
The recession has really hit a lot of sites differently in the past year or two
– some online casinos report that business is still quite lucrative, if not even
booming in some cases. But that is not the case across the board – some internet
gambling and betting companies are just not able to maintain the revenues
through the internet business to justify continuing. PageBet is a large UK-based
land bookie. Pagebet moved into the online casino betting industry earlier and
has since attempted to grow a thriving internet-based betting operating using
the same respected PageBet name. Those efforts were apparently not entirely
lucrative and PageBet announced that it’s new internet betting business is now
put into administration.
Without assets in the online casino betting industry, PageBet is really looking
to focus on the expansion of its land betting business. According to the latest
information that was released in The Northern Echo last month, Pagebet is
looking to open a new branch of the company’s respected Pagebet land bookie
betting shops. The new shop will be the company’s 57th branch and is planned for
North Tyneside. All of the online hopes are not entirely shot – Pagebet notes
that the company’s Web site will still host a ton of up-to-date competitive
betting odds…the same great odds that interested gamblers can then take to the
land bookie shops and use to place their bets.
There is a bit of good news to cover the fact that the company is exciting the
online casino bookie market – Pagebet has restructured after the decision to
movie out of the internet betting in such a way as to minimize the number of
jobs that it has lost. |
