Honesty and Respect in Online Casino Industry: 2
The Heroes Casino controversy has been resolved this month with the announcement
that the software company that powered the gaming site has agreed to pay out the
winnings to the gambler. Westland Bowl, a blackjack gambler has shown a huge
amount of patience over the past more than eight months as he has been waiting
for some company or organization to take responsibility and payout his totally
honest winnings. Galewind Software has stepped up to the plate and really shown
remarkable responsibility for their licensing choices. Galewinds has noted that
although there were no actual software glitches as Heroes Casino claims, the
software development company has terminated the license with the online gambling
site and chosen to payout the outstanding winnings to Bowl.
The online casino forums have run rampant with speculation about the Heroes
Casino debacle. The conclusion of most in the industry surmises that Heroes was
acting unscrupulously because of a lack of desire to payout legitimate winnings
to Westland Bowl. Several watchdog groups got involved – CasinoMeister is an
internet based information portal and intervenes in sticky situations on behalf
of the online casino gamblers. Throughout all of the negotiations Heroes refused
to accept responsibility for paying out the winnings – the site claims that
Galewinds software was faulty.
Further tests of the Galewind’s software have surmised that the online casino
gambling software is completely legitimate and that Heroes is in the fault. But,
knowing that Heroes would not ever actually payout winnings to the gambler,
Galewinds stepped in and, although there was no liability for the software
development company, Galewinds volunteered to payout the players winnings while
also yanking Heroes Casino’s gambling software license. |
