Top Dog at the Online Casinos
The Bodog Group – and online casino gambling company based out of Antigua is one
of those companies that stays in the headlines for a variety of reasons, both
good and bad. In the most recent news, Bodog is fast on its way to becoming a
prominent online gaming brand within the Asian market. Although many online
casinos have attempted to enter the potentially lucrative Asian-Pacific market,
Bodog went a step further and secured a base-level foundational partnership deal
that allows the company an exclusive gaming license in the region. Bodog is a
bit of the bad-boy in the online casino gambling industry – a rogue site that
largely operates by its own rules and yet still provides gamblers with a
top-notch gaming experience that may be all the better because the company is
often making headlines.
A lot of the incessant media attention has died down in the past year since the
founder and former CEO, Calvin Ayres, stepped down from his position and no
longer issued forth slews of inflammatory accusations and threats to other
online casino industry companies that dared cross the founder (most notably the
situation with 1st Technology). In more recent times, Ayres has taken a back
seat in the day-to-day running of the company and Bodog has begun to take a more
straight-forward route in its interactions with other online casinos and
industry companies.
The most recent deal in the Asian market is a partnership agreement with Haydock
Sports – there were actually quite a few partnership opportunities for the
online casino gambling group but Haydock’s solid reputation in the industry,
combined with the license to operate internet gambling within the target market
sealed the deal for Bodog. |
