Online Casino Slots Coup
This year, 2009, seems to be the season for major disputes in the online casino
gambling industry and although there are several companies in the hot seat
right now, Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) and its related business are really
having a tough go of it. The newest issue partly involving CAP is the situation
between related company Effective Media Goup (EMG) and AbsoluteSlots.com. EMG
has begun to publicly state that the owners of the Absolute Slots brand had
refused to pay consulting fees that were do and had not only made off with the
ownership of the Absolute Slots brand, but had then switched all of the Absolute
Slots business affiliates, online casino gamblers, brand, and more, to a new
domain name: SlotPower.com.
EMG has reacted to this whole situation from a wholly emotional point of view
and there is a bit of confusion at the online casinos as to just what went wrong
between EMG and Absolute Slots. At this point, there is no way to say that
either company is in the wrong both sides have only given the barest amount of
additional information to shed light on the situation. Absolute Slots admits
that the entire brand is switching onto the SlotPower.com domain name but does
not confirm that the move is in an effort to cheat EMG out of any fees due.
EMG is related to CAP through the two heads at CAP they are/were also
executives at EMG. Now that the CAP situation has likely deteriorated beyond
repair, the EMG situation doesnt come as much of a surprise to some in the
online casino gambling industry the CAP owners seem bent on self-destruction.
The question remains though is AbsolutePoker operating on the up and up or
changing the site brand as a way to avoid further payments and associations EMG? |
