Outsourcing at the Online Casinos
There doesn’t seem to be an industry or job anywhere that isn’t in danger of
being outsourced to cheaper locations – surprisingly some of the largest names
in the UK online casino gambling industry have announced that some employees
will lose their jobs to outsourcing. It’s like a dirty word for those all over
the world – outsourcing means that good jobs that were keeping peopled employed
during the tough times are now finding themselves suddenly without a way to pay
the bills at one of the worst times in the past decade to be looking for a job.
The economy has been rough for everyone and business all over the world and
apparently William Hill is looking at relocation. Relocation isn’t quite the
same as a full outsourcing of work - there is a possibility that some of the
employees of the online casino gambling giant will move with the company. One of
the big reasons for the rumors of a move is the taxing in the UK. Will Hill can
relocate jobs offshore to one of the UK white list approved jurisdictions and
still maintain all of the advertising benefits yet pay far less in taxes.
Will Hill is one of the largest bookmakers in the UK with a very strong online
casino and poker gambling industry as well. The company has released its annual
financial results report and apparently, in discussing the results and potential
new moves for the gambling group the CEO, Ralph Topping, has given slight
indications that the company is once again discussing a move to an offshore
jurisdiction such as Gibraltar. The rumors have not been confirmed yet though so
there is no firm information either way. |
