Keeping Online Casinos Out
It’s pretty much become a widespread industry joke that the United States plans
to effectively keep online casino gambling out of the country – that’s just a
very unrealistic goal with the current regulations and the nature of the
internet gambling industry. But, even though the federal government is finding
it difficult to close up the loopholes and gaps in regulations that are still
allowing online casinos to operate within the US market, some of the individual
state governments are taking it upon themselves to find some solutions and ways
to keep internet gambling out of the homes of their citizens. The latest US
state to wage war against the online gambling industry is Utah.
The Utah government is actively looking for new and more effective laws to keep
online casino gambling illegal and unreachable. Utah is one of the US states
that has a largely more conservative population and as such online caisno
gambling is an area that is simply taboo and best kept far out of the hands of
the population. Apparently, some of the new legislation to combat internet
gambling is proposed that Utah’s law enforcement officers will have greater
ability to raid establishments rumored to support internet gambling in the
state.
The new bill proposed is really focused on empowering the local law enforcement
to help solve this problem off rampant online casino gambling – which lies
heavily within the internet cafes in the state and stores that are selling
pre-paid phone and internet cards. These prepaid cards are then used at internet
casinos to load accounts and participate in all forms of internet gambling. |
