The United States hasn’t really seen a prohibition since the 1920’s – that’s nearly 90 years ago – and just as it was then, it is also now. The US government has once again though attempted to prohibit what Americans are able to do in their own homes. It is the same now with the online casino gambling industry in the US – a ban and essential prohibition has not stopped Americans from gambling through the internet – not in the least.

In fact, recent analysis of the US market indicates that online casino gambling activity is actually increasing in the US. Despite the fact that a ban has been in place for more than two years, and the US government has passed legislation and regulations designed to block financial transactions with the online casinos, those gamblers who really want to play the game are certainly able to find an internet venue that can and will accept their money.

The recent report gave really quite startling results about the prevalence of gambling at the online casinos – there has been little loss of market for the sites that have stayed in the industry for the past two years and they are even noting an increase in the number of gamblers seeking out internet gambling.
