It Doesn't Take a US Market
Finding success in the global online casino gambling market has been difficult
for some internet gambling companies that were forced out of the US market
abruptly and with little notice. Some companies were not stable enough to
withstand the necessary restructurings and the focus on a new market. Party
Gaming though is one of the gambling brands that withdrew from the US market as
soon as the UIGEA passed (banning financial transactions between foreign online
casinos and US banks). And though Party Gaming also took a pretty major hit to
its revenues as a result of a much smaller market share without the US gambler,
this online gambling site is one of the handful of top gambling brands that
managed to effectively reestablish a market base and a positive reputation.
There are several online casino gambling companies that continue to service the
US market – some companies, like Bodog, continue to operate in the US in
purposeful opposition to the US internet gambling policies. Others though assert
that the without the US market they would fold. And while that very well may be
for some of the smaller gambling groups, Party Gaming, 888, and others are all
proof that online casinos can recover from the negative effects of the US’
decision to effectively ban online casino gambling.
Party Gaming is a premium brand name in the European market, but that wasn’t
always the case. Once this top online casino gambling brand decided to stop
servicing US players (cold turkey always seems to work best) the new marketing
strategy and efforts in the European Market were very pointed and quite
effective – more effective than they would have been had the gambling group also
been focusing efforts on US gamblers. |
