The Odds Speak Out for Online Casinos
It seems as though the internet gambling issue in the United States is truly one
of those subjects that will continue on for years as both sides battle it out to
both implement online caisno gambling in the United States and the opposition
which seeks to ban offshore internet gambling in nearly every capacity. The
people of the US have had very little say in the current US policy at this
point. The highly controversial UIGEA passed through into law without event the
support of some of the politicians who voted to pass the UIGEA as a part of an
unrelated must-pass other legislation. Now the situation has progressed and the
supports of the online casinos are raising their voices for more representation
in Congress and for fair internet gambling legislation in the US.
The conservative right is quick to gloat with their victory in passing the
UIGEA, even through it was through sneaky and questionable circumstances. Now
that the UIGEA has passed into law the online casino gambling supporters and
pro-internet gambling politicians have a much harder battle to fight. Not only
does the US now need new legislation, but the pro-internet gambling side may
have to first neutralize the UIGEA before more effective legislation can be put
in place for the online casinos and internet poker venues.
Right now, several polls in the United States have indicated that the moderate
population is showing overwhelming support for the pro-online casino gambling
movement. Basically, although many politicians on the right claim support from
their districts, the trend in the US is toward legalization. |
