Payment Processor Issue
Online casino gamblers in the United States should heed a warning right now that
the Instant eCheck payment processing company is experiencing problems with the
US Attorney General’s office. The US has regulation in place intended to block
offshore online casinos – this has actually been fairly poorly enforced over the
past couple of years and US citizens continue to gamble and bet on a lot of
popular US facing gambling sites such as PokerStars, Absolute Poker, Ultimate
Bet, and Full Tilt Poker. The issue has come into play as some gamblers attempt
to cash their checks with their withdrawn funds; many banks are denying the
eChecks from this company and an additional few banks are even charging a fee to
any gamblers attempting to cash this form of check.
For the moment there is no clear resolution to the problem except to note that
all of the online casinos offering Instant eCheck also offer a variety of
additional payment processing methods that should be considered. For those
gamblers who have already requested the eCheck, GambleCraft recommends hanging
onto the check until further information is released or asking the casino for an
alternative form of payment.
At this point, there is no clear indication of why the US banks have blocked
transactions with eCheck –although eCheck operates in large part for the online
casino gambling industry there is speculation that this played a role in the
recent troubles. There is every indication that a solution will be announced in
the coming weeks if gamblers are just patient and do not over-react; all owed
monies will be paid out. |
