Ivey Cleaning Up
The World Series of Poker has hit the land and online casino poker gambling
industries by storm this month –the tournament events have already begun and the
poker pros are flexing their skills at the table and collecting more and more
WSOP bracelets with which to adorn their names. Phil Ivey is tops in the land
and online casino poker gambling industries –he consistently cleans up with
bracelets at the WSOP every year and is a big poker player on the international
scene as well. There is no doubt that Ivey was happy to win his sixth WSOP
bracelet this year. Although he has five others this will be his first WSOP
bracelet win in nearly six years.
Ivey took home winnings of $96,361 just this past week at the No-Limit 2-7 Draw
WSOP event. The contestant field was large; Ivey had to test his skills against
147 other poker pros and skilled online casino poker gamblers who put their
chips in with the hopes of taking home a bracelet. Ivey has a range of poker
skills that have netted him millions upon millions of dollars worth of winnings
in his long career –this includes his competition in online casino poker
tournaments as well as appearing in person at the major land tournaments as a
way to further hone his skills.
The WSOP is still running right now in Las Vegas at the land casinos there –the
town is undoubtedly packed for this massively popular annual event. Viewers all
over the world watch live television coverage of the poker tourneys and all of
the hype and excitement carries over for months in anticipation of the final
table event. |
