North American Online Casino Brand
The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group took control over the Bodog brand name in the
North American market about a year ago now – right when real trouble started
knocking on the company’s door. The United States bans offshore online casinos
from accessing the market and Bodog is one of a handful of companies that not
only still operate in the market, but the company is very effective at
circumventing US laws that prevent financial transactions with offshore online
casino sites. As the situation intensified last year, Ayre was looking for a
buyer of the North American Bodog brand –his timing was perfect. Alwyn Morris
was looking for an established internet gambling brand to operate in the North
American market. Morris and founder of Bodog, Calvin Ayre, inked an agreement
and finalized the deal.
Since that time, the online casino gambling industry has changed a lot and the
Bodog brand has continued to gain a lot of prominence in international markets.
The Morris Gaming Group only owns rights to the North American online casino
gambling site but success in foreign markets will only continue to strengthen
all of the company’s brand name. Morris has really taken control over the Bodog
North American brand since Ayre has left –the new gaming group cleared up the
legal situation with First Technology, ironed out an effective payment process
for online casino gamblers and is now focusing on expansion of site offerings as
well as marketing of the Bodog North American brand.
Morris intends to really pursue a lot of developments at the Bodog online casino
and gambling sites throughout the rest of the year. |
