888 Making Some Changes

Some new changes at 888 could very well result in the loss of jobs for some of the company’s employees. The economic situation in the global online casino gambling industry has cause some real strain at the internet gambling group and the company is looking to reduce some of the redundant employee positions in the coming months. 888.com has already employed a consultancy agency to come in and assess the workforce and identify the areas that could go. This effort is being undertaken as a way to streamline the company and maintain profitability during the global recession. 888 Holdings is one of the largest online casino gambling groups in the international industry and has extensive assests and gaming products on offer.

As the company has expanded some of the various headquarters have created jobs that are actually a bit redundant, especially now that the company is looking to streamline and cut back significantly on operating expenses. The consultancy period is expected to last for six months, at the end of the consultancy program it is anticipated that the company will reduce as many as 40 jobs from the company’s Gibraltar office. This is actually right in line with what other online casinos have been forced to contend with and there have also been similarly wide-scale streamlining in the internet gambling industry’s workforce.

The number 40 is just an estimation at this point considering the company has not yet completed much of the consultancy process. Throughout the 60 days the CEO has noted that there may be some very real changes in the number – to the tune of fewer, probably not more Gibraltarians loosing their jobs. There is really no way to fully anticipate the final count at this point but GambleCraft will follow the situation closely.
