Shifting Ahead
The World Series of Poker events have captivated the attention of land and
online casino poker gamblers from all over the world –television sets are
eagerly tuned to the right stations and the lucky few players who won a seat to
the WSOP are actually in Las Vegas taking part in the event first hand. For
those that may want a bit more to follow besides the WSOP, the ongoing challenge
between Dwan and Antonius has taken a majorly surprisingly turn this week as
Dwan surged ahead of Antonius. The two players have agreed to play 50,000 hands
of poker against each other with a huge and major pot at stake. If Antonius can
come out ahead of Dwan after the 50,000 hands of poker he will walk away with $1
million in winnings, straight up. If Dwan wins the hands then he gets to keep
the $500,000 in winnings that Antonius put at stake in the challenge.
The two players busted out of the WSOP and have since been captivating online
casino poker enthusiasts with their ongoing challenge. The two have a lot of
hands of poker to complete and a marathon session this weekend saw the two now
complete a whopping 20,647 hands of poker. That means that they are at the
half-way point of the challenge and although Antonius has led for a long time, a
lot of money changed his this time around and online casino poker players were
shocked and delighted when Dwan was able to take the lead.
This shouldn’t be thought of as an indication of the outcome of the match
however because there are still nearly 30,000 hands of online casino poker to be
played. The weekend play was intense, but not over apparently, the two poker
players may actually continue this week with more hands of poker as Dwan hopes
to widen his lead over his opponent. |
